SEO consulting.

Not getting visits from organic search? Lost in SEO or need some advice?

We go through your website, search data and competitors with you. You leave with a plan for what to do first and what can wait.

Priority plan after SEO consulting, growing search traffic and three areas, technical SEO, content and links

When should you book SEO consulting?

If you want to focus on search engine optimisation for your website, SEO consulting is usually the best place to start. You will find out the project’s potential, where the main gaps are and which steps are most likely to bring the results you want soonest, in the form of organic traffic and higher sales.

Working on an online project and not sure exactly how to approach SEO? Do you have questions about search engine optimisation, or are you unsure which SEO services to choose? Perhaps you have other questions about these services. Feel free to ask.

SEO consulting suits anyone who wants to move their marketing forward and be more visible online. The people who get the most out of it come with a specific problem and need to decide where to put their time and money. You will find four such situations below.

SEO and search

Drop in traffic

We find out whether a Google update, a technical error or competitors are behind it. In Search Console, we track down which pages and queries lost the most.

New website or redesign

Before launch, we check URLs and redirects so the website does not lose its rankings. Fixing this before launch costs less than rescuing a drop afterwards.

You don't know where the potential is

Using data, we show which queries are worth targeting, how many people search for them each month and whether you have a suitable page for them.

You want a second opinion

You have an SEO provider and want an independent check that the work is heading in the right direction. We tell you what makes sense and what to ask them.

What you take away from the consultation

No generic recommendations. Everything is based on your website’s data and on which pages rank above you on Google for your queries today.

List of priorities

What to fix now, what to fix within a month and what can wait. Each item comes with the reason it sits where it does.

Keywords with potential

Queries worth targeting, with search volume and the page that should cover them.

Technical findings

What stops Google from crawling the website properly and including it in results. Only errors that affect traffic, not a list of minor details.

Competitor comparison

Where competitors are ahead of you and why. Which pages they have and you don’t.

How does SEO consulting work?

  1. First, you or we define the scope of the consultation. It can be a specific problem, such as a drop in traffic, or the consultation can simply focus on quick tips for developing the project and website.
  2. Once the scope is set, we prepare and put together the recommendations.
  3. We then meet in an online call or in person to go through all the information.
01

Scope of the consultation

You tell us what you are dealing with. If you are not sure, we suggest topics ourselves based on a first look at the website and data.

02

Data-based preparation

We go through data from Search Console and analytics and look at your competitors. We come to the meeting with findings, not questions.

03

Consultation

Online or in person in Prague. We show the findings directly in your data and agree on the order of steps.

04

Summary and plan

We send a summary with priorities that you can follow on your own or with us.

Higher profits from organic search results.

SEO is mainly about increasing your website’s traffic, but there are two key variables here: relevance and volume of visits. Some projects take a carpet-bombing approach and collect traffic regardless of quality or relevance. The opposite strategy is optimising content for a narrow, highly relevant group that you can straight away start calling customers.

Which path to take is decided by data, not by a rule of thumb. In the consultation, for each group of queries we look at whether it can bring a sale or just a reader. People searching “what is” are usually still learning. People who add price, comparison or a city to their query tend to be closer to buying.

That is why an e-shop or B2B company often earns more from a few category and service pages written precisely for what people buy than from dozens of blog articles. A content website that lives off advertising needs the opposite. When hundreds of queries need to be reviewed, the consultation is followed by keyword research. Our client case studies show which e-shops and brands we have worked with in this way.

The difference between an SEO audit, SEO consulting and ongoing cooperation

How consulting differs from an SEO audit and from ongoing cooperation

An SEO audit describes the state of the website. Consulting decides what to do about it and in what order. Ongoing cooperation then carries out and measures these steps month by month. Each of the three services solves a different problem.

  • An SEO audit is a written list of findings across the whole website. It is useful as a brief for developers or for choosing a provider. Without an order of priorities, though, it can easily end up in a drawer.
  • SEO consulting is a decision. From the data, we pick out what has the greatest impact on traffic and sales, and put it in order. The output is a short plan, not a thick document.
  • Ongoing cooperation means we also carry out the plan. Changes and their measurement run as part of ongoing search engine optimisation.

At IdeUp, we don’t do formal audits that help nobody. We carry out a technical check of the website during preparation, but only what has an impact goes into the summary. You can also handle a basic SEO website analysis largely on your own, and in the consultation we then discuss only what came out of it.

Which of the three services works out cheapest depends on the size of the website and how much work you can do yourself. We break down how market prices are made up in our article how much SEO costs.

How to prepare for the consultation

When we open a new project at IdeUp, the first thing we ask for is access to Search Console. It shows us which queries the website appears for, how many clicks they get and which pages Google has not included in results at all. Without it, we would be advising based on estimates.

  • Search Console. In the settings, open Users and permissions and add us as a user with restricted access. We can see the data but cannot change the settings. Our article on Google Search Console summarises everything you can find in the tool.
  • Analytics. Read access to Google Analytics or another tool where you can see orders and enquiries. Visits without sales only tell half the story.
  • Three questions. Write down what worries you most. The more specific the question, the more specific the answer.
  • Plans. Are you preparing a new website or a change to your product range? Tell us in advance, as it changes the order of priorities.

Don’t have access to Search Console, or the website is not live yet? The consultation still makes sense. We then work with public data from Ahrefs and Marketing Miner about you and your competitors. These are estimates, though, not your actual figures, and they tend to be inaccurate for smaller Czech queries.

Online or in person in Prague

The consultation can take place online. A video call with screen sharing is enough. We show the findings directly in your data and you can ask follow-up questions straight away. You can invite the developers or copywriters who will carry out the plan to the call.

If you want to discuss the website around one table, we meet in person in Prague. This suits larger projects where the owner meets the developers and budget decisions are made. Preparation and the summary are the same in both cases.

When you don't need a consultation

Consulting has its limits too, and we would rather say so up front. It makes no sense when you already know what to do and are just short of hands. In that case, ongoing cooperation or assigning a specific task is better.

Nor will it help anyone expecting a guaranteed first place. No SEO consultant can honestly give one, and Google says so directly in its guide to hiring an SEO (Google Search Central). What we can promise is that you will know what to do and why. And if the data shows that SEO is not the best channel for you right now, we will tell you.

The third case is a website where nobody is going to change anything right now. A plan without the capacity to implement it will just sit there and become outdated in a few months. It is then cheaper to wait with the consultation until someone is available to carry out the plan.

Before you book a consultation

These are the questions clients ask us most often before booking their first meeting.

How much does SEO consulting cost?

We confirm the price in advance based on the scope. It mainly depends on how many pages and how much data need to be reviewed. You approve the scope and price before we start preparing.

Do I have to do SEO with you afterwards?

No. The plan is written so that your team or another provider can handle it. If you want, we will take over implementation, but the consultation does not commit you to anything further.

Can the consultation cover a website that is not live yet?

Yes. With a new website, the cheapest time to get the category structure and page URLs right is at the start. If you are replacing an old website, we also prepare a redirect map from the old URLs to the new ones, so your rankings carry over to the new pages.

Do you also cover visibility in AI answers?

Yes, if you want us to. We check whether Google’s AI Overviews and chatbots such as ChatGPT mention you, and which pages they cite instead of yours. Any follow-up work is part of our optimisation for AI search engines (GEO).

Is the consultation a one-off?

It can be. One-off SEO advice is useful when you are dealing with a specific problem. Regular consultations make sense for companies that handle SEO with their own team and want an outside challenger who keeps an eye on the direction.

Let's arrange a consultation

Tell us what you are dealing with and which website it concerns. We will get back to you with a proposed date and scope, and confirm the price in advance.
